Every voter in Flagstaff should have received a ballot in the mail.
Ballots are due March 9th by 7:00 pm. Time is running short with only two days left to get your ballots in. Your ballots will no longer make it in time through the mail, please hand deliver to the Elections Office, 110 E. Cherry Avenue, or the Health and Community Services building at 2625 N. King Street.
This election is critical to the future of Flagstaff. The candidates elected to the Council and the mayor’s office will need to choose solutions to our ongoing budget crisis, as well as many other issues facing the city- both those we are discussing now, and those we cannot predict. The FUSD budget override will determine the future of Flagstaff’s schools; will they stay open or be closed due to lack of funding. If you have made up your mind – vote today, don’t let this election pass you by. It is important for every Flagstaff citizen to vote, regardless of who you vote for, vote!
Remember to vote both sides of your ballot, seal the envelope, and sign the back. Ballots must be received by 7:00 pm March 9th, ballots will not be post-marked, hand deliver to Elections Office or Health and Community Services.
Be sure to note that included with your ballot is a form to sign up for early voting. It is encouraged that everyone fill out this form; it will ensure a ballot be mailed to you every election, and you will have the choice between mailing it back, or bringing it to the polls. This is especially important because unlike the primary, Flagstaff’s general election will be held at the polls in May.
If you have not registered to vote yet you have missed the opportunity to vote in the primary election, however you have until Monday, April 19th to register for the general election in May. Click on Register to Vote to register now.
Get out the vote!
